Hydraulic winch

Does anybody have a fairlead roller mechanism for a MkII Land Rover hydraulic winch like this one, that they would part with?



I'm also looking for an operator's manual with info like what oil the system uses - I think it's meineral oil but not sure. I've got a Parts list for the winch with exploded diagrams if anybody needs that.

use normal hydraulic oil. as used in most Diggers JCB's etc. Think you'll be better off renovating the fairlead, rather than trying to find a new one.

The problem is I don't have the fairlead mechanism at all. I though I'd just check to see if anybody has one before welding up a mounting bracket and buying a modern generic fairlead roller. Are you 100% sure that the system uses normal hydraulic oil; It's just that I found an article in LRO from August 1995 which said that the system uses SAE10 or SAE20 mineral oil - I'm not sure whether to believe that though. I don't want to wreck the seals.
