Was first time I had needed low range for a while........just to get out the car park.

Bout time they put that hexi stuff in the grass. They are limited in how many events they can do by it

Noooooo

Diff lock in, Hi range, loadsa welly, get that mud flying outta the tread and all over the vehicle behind ;) :flame2: :D :D :D

Just a thought. Could I run a hydraulic pump off say a tipper using a second alternator and battery? I have a spare coupling point.

do you mean a 12v hydraulic tipper pack ? yes you could , but what do you want to do with it , ? if winch then would not be very quick , as its a low flow only suitable for tipping or tail lift etc . HTSH

Hmm. Well yeah a winch at some point and got some of those jaws that cut through pillars off mod sales ( by accident) and its awesome at cutting up to 5 inch branches with no mess. :)

Also wanted to get a splitter to take up into my woods. So guessing a faster glow one. Hmmm more research required

Re jaws you can get a petrolpowered pack that runs these , used in firebrigade/ mod, but they are a low flow high pressure unit , not suitable for winching . gearbox driven hyd pto is the only way really to do all the things you want . This gives you the ability to select pump speed via the throttle and gears. Unfortunately hydraulics tend to be expensive , thats why you see all the electric winches, but it is the rolls royce system JMHO .

Yeah saw that. There are kits out there. On another forum there was mention of a chain driven kit being made that runs direct from the engine like an auxiliary belt scenario. Trying to find out more.

So far I have found a generator with pto wheel. Could run one of those splitters that are a wheel/spike thing.
