Hi all,
I am using an Ifor trailer with a hiab on it for my wood business, hiab needs 7.5 l/m and 160bar minimum, which currently comes from an ex army petrol engine hydraulic pack in the back of the 110.
(12v DC motor system probably not a good alternative solution due to the high duty cycle/risk of overheating). Found myself thinking PTO pump and have priced it; when I change the 110 in a year or so will definitely go that way; meantime looking for a budget solution to try and free up the rear loadspace. Looking on the web, I see that Milemarker winches use a ZF pump, which lots of people seem to recycle from dead Audi's and bee ems; trouble is flow rate OK, but pressure too low.
Found that Citroen Xantia hydraulics run at 170 bar but didn't find the flow rate posted.... so has anyone ever used a citroen pump for a hydraulic system???? Any other ideas??
