Hullo, new guy here, new to landys but no stranger to offroading having had an other make but now acquired a 1996 300tdi Discovery and cant wait to get modifiying it for the brown stuff. I have been looking through the forum at other folks builds, very inspiring, and I hope to learn from you guys who know the vehicle well.

I'll be looking for suspension lift and big mud tyres etc etc but to start I believe I should kick things off with a timing belt kit and oil and filters.

Thanks. Been looking at lift kits and stuff already, got an eye on a +2 inch pro comp kit and am i right in thinking i can fit 265/75r16 or 285/75r16 without too much trimming. also the front passenger door handle has snapped and needs replaced but from looking about the internet it seems i need a new handle with an alarm connection which are selling for over a hunner quid, ouch. hopeing the local scrappys might have one or itll just be getting opened from the inside.
