Hub oil leak

Lots of oil all over the inner side of N/S front wheel dripping down around the swivle hub and all over the track rod end. Is there a seal there somewhere?

Most probably your inner hub oil seal gone.

Is big job?

caliper off (you can move it without undoing pipe if you support under bottom swivel pin and undo pipe support secured to top swivel pin),hub inner seal isnt an oil seal so a seal in outer hub or stub axle must be leaking too if hub is getting oil in it

I think the leak might be due to wear to the oil seal that acts on the swivel ball. Also, I got an advisory about play in this area at last MOT. I see you can get a kit of seals, gaskets and shims from Rimmers. According to Mr Haynes it's quite q job! - Unless anyone knows of any short-cuts?

yep ,,strip it down and fill it with high melting point grease ,job done ,dont use one shot as its ****e
