How to view MPG

How can I view the mpg on a 3.6 TDV8, as just bought and cannot work out how to find it on the computer

Do you have an indicator stalk that looks like this? Red circles are for you.


If so push the button on the end I think.

Try your owner's manual.

Plus don’t forget the MPG display monitors are also known as lio meters with big noses , , lol

Tried that and it just gives an option to reset it, thanks anyway

Think that’s next, just tried googling it with no joy and had just joined here so thought it was worth a try lol, will have to find my reading glasses now

Do it old school. Fill your tank. Run it until reserve light comes on. Fill again. Work out mpg.

Ok will try that next unsure if I had though

P.s no-one bothered about mpg should buy a Range Rover

No, no, no, that will bring crap into the fuel system, I was always told never to let it drop below a quarter of a tank lol

Yeh that’s why I thought it wasn’t there lol, just wanted to see what I wasn’t getting to a gallon

OK, so fill it, drive 100 miles, fill it again, record how many gals, work it out.

That’s what fuel filters are for, lol

Don’t forget it’s being sloshed around whilst driving anyway , is best to keep a min of 1/4 to save u running out of fuel but is ok to do it a couple of times so u can accurately measure the MPG

Indeed the onboard monitors are useless

Hmm yep now that sounds like it could be an option, thank you, thinking of getting it remapped if it helps

on mine if you press the button at the end of the stalk it will cycle through the display. if you press and hold it will bring up the main screen options and you can select what you want it to display in the display cycle.

Yeh tried that and it still doesn’t seem to do it. I think that maybe the last owner didn’t like to see it and removed it lol, thank you and will try when I get it back from it’s first repair

I got 27.4 from Bristol to Surrey today.. pretty good for supercharged V8.. running on LPG gives a cost equivalent of what nearly 55 MPG

Any help
