Hi all

I have had my l322 range rover connected to the diagnostic computer again but it still is not communicating, does anyone know if there is away to test if the pin that supplies the data to the diagnostic system is supplying data etc.. I have checked the pins that supply the +12 volts and the two ground pins and they appear to be working fine. What I want to be able to do now is test if the pin that is connected to the data bus is working correctly.

The guy at the garage suggested that it could have something to do with the binnacle (the instrument cluster) he thinks this because some of the pixels on the message centre are not working, and thinks it may have some other problems as the binnacle is the data bus gateway, that is connected to the diagnostic port.

Any ideas, don't really want to spend £300 on replacing the binnacle if its not going to solve the problem.

Matt

No comms on an L322 is usually down to the headlight levelling ecu in the lh A post being full of water or having been "moist" - theres a term eh? If the connector is full of green shi-e it will drag down the K bus and stop comms - its worth a look.
