can any one tell me a quick way to tel the dif between a lt77 and a r380 box
SOME ONE SED YOU CAN TELL BY THE REVERS GEAR BUT HE DID NOT NO WICH WAS WICH

ere Take 5
on the lt77/r380 box subject.......
fitting one to a series - yu have to change the props dont ya? Neither are a straight fit are they?

From what I recall, rear prop is 3" longer an front one is a bit shorter than normal. If you know a decent fab shop, buy longer ones and they can shorten them for you - not ideal but it works.

I think it's called the 380 coz it's rated to 380 nm of torque (or poss lbft, not sure) - with the output of the engine normally around 2/3 of that from memory?. Dunno if that's why the 230's called the 230 though!

the r380 is much better . the lt77 is quite lumpy and very rough . the r380 is nice n smoove and the synchromesh seems alot better
