Hi, I would like to check if my D2 auto gearbox loom wiring has been chafed. So far I have not found any info of how to remove auto gearbox loom wiring. Someone mentioned the wiring is accessible from centre console. I have opened the centre console, but not sure what to do next. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!

Take a look at this https://www.landroversonly.com/threads/trans-harness-replacement-on-03-disco-auto-v8.156902/

You can see the relevant part of the harness from underneath the car if you look up and a bit over to the nearside from where the transmission brake is. I've recently put some spiral wrap around the bit that gets chafed before it gets chafed, but it may be just as easy to drill out the rivets from the access panel above.

Good luck.

Thanks! I have looked up loom wiring from under the car, there is access plate, but put back access plate could be big challenge. I can feel the wiring and P clip nut, removing P clip nut might be main job if from under, it seems there is space to use a spanner + extension. Has anyone removed P clip from under the car?

You can just pop rivet the access plate back on. A pop riveter and a packet of pop rivets won't cost you a fortune. It's probably easier than trying to remove the P clip from underneath.
