I'm looking at getting hold of some old steel rangie rims for my series 3. Like the ones in attached photo illustrates

"No they wont fit" I hear everyone shout.

However I was wondering if they would fit in my instance as I have wheel spacers on my landy at the moment? I was under the impression the reason there rims did not fit a series was due to the back of the rim clashing with the hub. Will the wheel spacer get over this problem.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

thks

if there free then you may aswell try and see what happens, if not then flog em! and they do look pretty cool definately a lot better than standard rims!

The reason why Range Rover Rostyle wheels don't fit standard series hubs is that the wheels foul the halfshaft drive flange (I'm speaking from experience). You could make them fit by attacking the radial ribs of the wheels with a cutter of some kind, but the wheel would end up being weaker and I don't think it's worth the effort anyway. Lightweight drive flanges are shaped differently so the wheels may fit them, I don't know. You might get them to fit using wheel spacers, but I've never tried that.
