Think mm4x4 do a kit for around £20 I think, not sure if it's all that's needed but you could call em an ask

Perfect, called them today, part was £22 including tax and delivery! Perfect, and I don't need anything else - thanks Mark D

AHHHHH, got the part and it doesn't fit?

I have phoned them and they basically said they usually fit so cant help.

Attached is a pic of the distributor, and it is the pin on the left hand side that gets in the way. They suggested removing the pin which I do not wish to do as it means I wouldn't be able to fit the points again and get it working if something went wrong.

Any ideas?

Has anyone else got a pic of the conversion with this kit?

Attached is a pic of what the kit looked like.

Many thanks

I got one of them kits for my old 2.5 petrol that was for ever burning condensors out !! The rotar arm on mine would'nt fit and was a bit ****ed off so I had to do a few mods and was well worth it -ran like a dream after!!

I think the problem is that one kit does all !

Good luck !!

Final update! If you buy the same part as me then the best option is to bend the pin I have been on about (slightly) backwards so it does not interfere from the part. What I also did was to file any additional metal overhang on the new part.

I removed the baseplate in the distributor so I could see how much I needed to file off. If you do this make sure you align the pin on the bottom side of baseplate when refitting otherwise you will have no power whatsoever when you try and drive.

It now runs like a dream :)
