Just wondering if anyone knows how to fit a Voltmeter gauge?

It has 2 spade connections

One is labelled 1 and has a female spade ( I think this is negative)
The other is labelled 2 and has a male spade ( I think this is Positive)

I want to know if there is a circuit that I should cut into to get the best reading?
Or do I need to take 2 new wires back to the battery to get the best reading?
Or just splice into any circuit?

The back light and actual fitting I am fine with! lol

I will keep researching to see if I can find a wiring diagram for it but thought someone may know.

splice +ve into ignition switched live. dunno abut landy but normally these are yellow wires. stereo may be a good place to start. negative is obvious hopefully. and lights ou have under control (wire bulb into dash lighting). done

read it again! splice anywhere as long as switched and is lightly loaded. ie not headlights! if you get +ve and -ve wrong the dial will move the wrong way, but won't damage it. just test it before fitting spades

No worries I think I have worked it out.

Needs to be cut in on a switched ignition live, so it comes on with the ignition and not live all the time.

I would say to get the best reading it would be best to put a relay in and have 2 feed wires from the battery switched by the relay using the ignition!

But since it’s an analogue gauge and not that precise I think it will be fine to take the reading from the ignition live and have done with it!

Should have really thought about it before posting!:frusty:

as you dont have numbers on the dial i would wire it to where eva is easiest. if it had numbers or was digital it may be different. but yours will pretty much only tell you if the alternator is dead!
