Hi all,
I've changed the auto gearbox oil cooler and pipes on my 2001 DHSE. In the manual it says to start the engine run through the gears, leave idling, and refill until a small stream of oil comes from the filler (no dipstick on mine).
I've done that but it's only taken 6 litres to get to that point. Rave says it should take 9.7 litres. I noticed on rangerovers.net they reckon they only got around 6 litres into it, but i'd have thought that since i've had the cooler and pipes off and empty, i'd need a bit more oil going back in.
Think I took out around 6 ish litres, but it was leaking from the pipes so it may have been slightly underfilled.
Don't want to over fill as thats bad. Don't want to under fill as that's bad.
Help please, anyone else done this job ?
Thanks, Rick.
