How to add quotes to your signature...

firstly you have to find someone to say nice things about you ! Or maybe not, as I'll explain at the end. How I did mine was to firstly open the thread where someone has posted whatever you want to have in your signature, and then use the "quote" button which brings up a "quick reply" box, with the persons post in it starting with a square bracket and the word "quote" and finishing with the word quote and another square bracket.

using the mouse, click and drag over the whole quote, including the square brackets, then press <control+c> to copy the quote to the clipboard.

then ignoring the box you've opened to create a go to the "User CP" panel, and click on "Edit Signature".

Once there, click in the signature box to where you want the quote, and then <control+v> to paste it.

preview signature to make sure you're happy and job done.

once you have pasted the quote into your signature, if you wish, you can edit it to make it look like the person you are quoting said anything you desire, but that's up to you.

someone sent me a pm on how to do it. so I pm'd them back and thought I would post it for everyone to see, as it a)related to the website b) was a suggestion what people could do if they wished and c) gave help to someone who needed it, thus fitting neatly into Website feedback, questions and help.

This isn't really the place for it but there is an helpful guides section somewhere that I'm sure Ratty or Si will move it to when they get out of their pits..

hmmmnnn, not starting a row, but with the exception of MHM's post of 04.06.08, all the other questions in the common faults and questions section seems to be vehicle related.

meanwhile, sirius' post about smiley's and daisy's post about replying to pm's to name but two remain unmolested and uncommented within the website feedback suggestions and help section. meanwhile page 2 of the index has some questions about how to post photos or add them to your signature etc...

will gladly abide by the decision of ratty or si as nominated by your good self.

i await clarification......
