How rare a beast

Hello all, firstly I am new to this branch of the forum (normally in Range Rover or Freelander) but am considering diversifying even further. Had a look at a 1998 Discovery Diesel two door, cloth/ half leather interior in white 165,000 miles. Is declared an import but the original service book is stamped up by a local dealership from its first service in 1999 so it wasn't out of the Country very long in it's early life. All MOTs since 2001 as well. OK its obviously the slower model, non TD5 etc etc, but at an asking price of £2k it seems a bit dear (considering an equivalent P38 could be half that and a Freelander even less). Is the 2 door rare? (Don't normally need to carry rear seat passengers so that itself isn't a problem.) Any advice gratefully received.

Most Landies have jumped in price since we had the bad weather this year, I've seen £3.5k for a Disco 1, not even a late one!
