Aup all.

I have have just looked at how much a main wiring loom is for a 300Tdi defender on LRWorkshop!!!

Is someone out there making new one at a reasonable price?

What could i do to re use my loom? eg re tape it and clean all the connectors?

In the past most classic car wiring i have seen the connectors have corroded green and not much can be done to fix them up.

You don't say how much LR Workshop are listing them at.
Have you tried Autosparks?

If you go with Autosparks be aware that even pre-COVID they state a 12-week lead-time and believe me, they do take that long.

The prices are £732-£1,954

Yes auto sparks are £656

Land Rover spares prices are in many cases very high, and the increase has been since they were sold to Tata Automotive.

Some prices have increased tenfold, such as the rear seatbelt support tube which used to be £40 and now is £400

Buy some wire/the proper lucar bullet connectors and away you go.
As looms go it is nothing to be afraid of, especially as you get to copy your old one.

Were making a new one for the S11 resto...but Barry is an autotech electrical proffesional trained up to VAG spec...but yes do your own everything is online available now unlike 10yrs ago...
