I'll see what I can upload but like I said I'm trying not to be a spammer! Its on gumtree at the moment altho she was having probs uploading pics but at least youd get the full details.

I'm having issues posting them myself but I was able to get them uploaded into a Gallery on my profile if anyone wants a look

Heres the bumpf from her Gumtree ad too

"Light metallic green Landrover Discovery 2.5L 300 TDI.

1996 (P Reg), 5 doors, manual, 98945 miles.

Bodywork is in good condition for age, some light scrapes to front wings and wheel arches have some rust aswell. Interior is clean and free from any rips. This has been used as a daily driver since I purchased it in Jan 2010 with no problems, very low mileage for age of car.

For sale as failed MOT and is beyond economic repair for me to fix, however could be a project for someone who has the skill and resources to get it back on the road or would be a perfect donor car.

Engine is very low mileage and has had no problems in the 2 + years I’ve owned it, Gearbox and transfer box has also been problem free and in good condition. All electrics are working with electric windows all round, electric wing mirrors and all lights, heaters and alarm works aswell, has alloy wheels with locking wheel nuts Has recently had a new mid and back section of exhaust, new drag link, new brake pads all round, new water pump and new air filter.

Reasons for failure of MOT are needs new front discs, front suspension mount corroded within prescribed area, seat belt mountings corroded within prescribed area, fractured anti roll bar linkage, headlight alignment needs adjusted, brake hose fouling, needs new brake master cylinder and chipped windscreen. "

Yeah I thought that was a bit high, hence I posted my question in the first place. As she put it she "left room for negotiation" tho so I'm sure she'd take offers.
&
Shes already had a few folks interested too with a guy up the road from her looking at it tonight as she was out turning it over and another coming to view it tomorrow from the gumtree ad...

Thats pretty much the same fail sheet that i have just recieved, couple of hundred quid and its back on the road again!
Why dose she not get the work done,by you, then sell with full ticket?
:confused2:

No idea mate - I did offer at the time, altho weldings really not something I'm too confident with, I couldve easily sorted the rest and got the gf's dad to weld it up for the price of a crate of beer and a winning smile.

I'm not really sure what was the deciding factor for her. I think she felt bad that I'd been spending my free time fixing it already though & the garage that failed her layed it on pretty thick about it being fecked (yet strangely enough then offered to take it off her hands...). Throw into that her then boyfriend was saying he'd get her something else before changing his mind and I think she just got it into her head to get rid.

Don't take any less than £400 for it as you will get that on the scales at the scrappys ....

Cheers man - thats what I was thinking. Even at that little I'd prob take it myself and keep it as spares for the engine & boxes in case mine ever gives up.

Just did my cylinder head last year though and mine doesnt look like giving up anytime soon (touch wood)

Bloody hell people drive you mental when your selling cars!

4 people have been after it so far. First one phoned before 8 in the morning asking all kinds of stupid questions & then was so keen he demanded to see it that night, before cancelling 5minutes before he was meant to be there.

Another one was determined to come see it after 9 at night, before again cancelling and rearranging, then cancelling and rearranging again for tonight...

Fortunately the other two do seem pretty serious though, with the one thats seen it offering decent money to buy it for his son (although he needs to speak to him to make sure he's happy with it) & the other still has to see it but was talking money on the phone so seems keen!

Lol - can't believe the amount of hassle tbh & its not even my car!!! :censored:
