Classic How many whites in 1972?

I have read somewhere there are no paint codes added to classic's this age and mine is already two different whites where someone has had a go in the past, the original appears to be a "whiter" white than the touch ups that have gone on over the years. Anyway how can I find out the original colour?

When I was tracking down the Paint code for Masai Red I found about 4 different paint codes for Masai Red, it turns out from my paint supplier APS that all the different paint codes I had were for the same Masai Red, but depended on being Land Rover / Jaguar / BL / Rover
