I guess it's the Gems then.
Are you thinking of LPG'ing it? If so it might be better getting one with it already fitted

I will be looking to if i get it, from looking i havent really seen a LPG one that i would want. They are either high mileage, or overly priced..

I guess most LPG'd V8's are generally higher mileage as the cost of converting is only paid back if your doing the miles.
Bear in mind a proper sequential install will be upwards of a couple of K's though :)

HAve been quoted 1400 for a romano system with a terroidal tank etc... Pretty sure that was a sequential system. Dont think they really do the single point much anymore.. Especially as it blows the airbox to bits...

Thats a good price for a professional install. I'd agree to stay clear of single point.

Its a place in wales, seems to be about the going price for romano systems. WOuld prefer the Prins, but fewer people fitting those.

Anyway, thanks for the info, will continue the looking and evaluation. But the V8 certainly doesnt seem as bad as its made out to be.

Do you think you're up to converting it to LPG yourself?

You'd save a bundle, it gets the running costs down, and you can buy for less because the LPG ones do seem to attract higher prices.

There is a good place in Wiltshire that sell P38 specific kits.

It's an easy job to do if you can operate a computer and like Meccano.

2000 Thor Vogue SE purchased at 76k with warranty, needed that straight away to get replacement top hatted short engine (crack), been fine for 3 years+ over 15k miles. About £600 spent each year on maintenance / service before stuff breaks, never broken down as such. Oh and it shifts quick when it needs to.
