I was wondering what other owners get from their LGP tanks?

I've got an 85 Ltr (holds around 70 Ltrs) tank in boot and drive a 4.6, I seem to get 15MPG, and I do short journeys, about 180 miles to a tank if I drive steady.

i get about 140 miles to 55 ltrs of lpg , but mine needs setting up i know that its running a bit on the rich side on lpg , the display says its doing 21.6 average mpg  .
rick.

I have a 4.6 hse with sequential injection and a 95ltr tank in the spare wheel well, i get 11.5mpg around town, if i take it steady i can double that on a run.
I used to have a 3.9 classic with twin tanks underneath and got 17mpg round town with that.

I run a 4.6 with sequential lpg. I also have a boot mounted tank which is 95ltr water capacity so approx 75 litres of gas. Never really checked the exact milage I get for a tank but its around the 200 mark. the on board computer reckons I'm getting about 15 mpg. Not sure what its using to calculate fuel consumption when running on gas though, but it is calculating something.

On a steady run I have seen the mpg just over 22 which with the gas price I get (46ppl) works out to over 50mpg petrol cost assuming 102ppl.:) :)

If you keep accurate records of both gas and petrol consumption against mileage you can easily work out wether to believe the on board pooter or not. I think mines close enough not to worry. Declared average mpg of 15 on gas is worth over 30 in petrol costs. Not bad knockin about town with a hoooge V8 under the bonnet and returing over 30. Better than I got out of my last 2 petrol cars.:D

Mornin Daft,

Got apm from Boomer the other day about meeting my them big pile o' rocks on the 303.

Am planning to turn up, bright an early, just wanted to know if the RR with road tyres is going be totally useless on the plain/ lanes. looks like er indoors will be pitchin up too, she likes playing in the mud after I sent er to land rover experience thingy when we had the Disco.

Personally i wouldnt put anything with road tyres across the plain - but Boomer would be best to ask - he knows the routes you will take. I cant make this next one - coz it clashes with Essex - but intend to be at the next one, possibly with the TOSSERS .:D

I suppose it depends on what recovery kit yu and Boomers mates have.

I dunno wot rims will fit your RR (will Disco 1 rims fit) but there are usually complete sets of rims and chunky off-road tyres on fleabay.

here is a typical example, or maybe betterer - here.

I have a 3.9 but two sill tanks, 35l each. I get about 18mpg around town.

I have an 80lt tank in the boot i think.I drive a 4.0se.The computor on avr reads about 10-11mpg .All i do is short journeys so i cant seem to get the mpg up .Does this seem a bit low. ?

I run a 4.0 se with a 60 Lt tank and get around 200 miles from a full tank. I belive the computer dose'nt work when running on gas as it has a seperate ECU.

i get around 150 miles mainly town driving from 60 litres(180-200 on motorway depending how heavy my right foot is feeling) in my 4.6 hse but i got fancy/ noisey exhaust system which dont do it a lot of good but its still cheaper than the wifes astra 1.8 !!!!!
