how hard is it to convert a landrover 90 200tdi into a 300tdi

hi all im new on here and new to the landy scene i got myself a 90 which has been converted into a 200tdi was running well until i went into deep water at bures today and it stoped running, after empting all the pipes and removeing glow plugs i got most of water out and she got me home but its running on 3 and smoking,so was thinking of putting a 300tdi in if it aint much hassel or would you all think i will be better 2 fix the 200

defender and disco 300 share the same engine. But to fit one into as a conversion you need to change flywheel housing and weld a new engine mount on.

1st take your top house off from the inter cooler to the engine and go for a drive and see how it runs,
if you lucky you might have filled your inter cooler with ****.
only reason i say this is i took in a load of water one day and was very lucky the inter cooler saved the day. i thought i needed a new engine. but £25 inter cooler !!!


why not put another 200tdi in it ?? they are the best engine
