How easy is it to change both the Valve seals and Piston Rings

How easy is it to change both the Valve seals and Piston Rings ?

Is it a DIY job that can be done with basic tools

Or is it better to buy that parts I need/want and take it to my preferred garage ?

Is it worth renewing the Head gasket at the same time ?

Cheers for any advice !
 
I did the vavle stem seals on the 200tdi not long ago, I took the head off.
Get the green Elring ones that Turners sell. They are tight to fit, get a spare one or two incase you damage one fitting it. First time I have done it and damaged one of the new seals.
 
If you are doing piston rings you are going to be doing the head gasket anyway.

I assume you have a smoke problem?

Not sure your question makes sense tbh. What is wrong with your engine and what are you Terri achieve?
