How do the forum rankings work?

I like the new layout, but how do the forum rankings work? Some users are "New Members" with lost of posts but others are "Active members" etc and seem to have fewer posts (or am I imagining things). What are the thresholds for each "level"? Thanks

There seems to be a mutual admiration society on the go. Likes and rankings came in with the new format. But there is one member who has almost 600 likes but no status points who has never posted on the forum in it's new format. It was a sometimes strange place before the change it's even stranger now.

Any number of posts is a new member, until they log into the new forum for the first time.
Active members, I think, are up to 1k posts. Well known members are 1 to 10k, I think?
Over 10k poster and donators can edit their own user titles to say what they like!
