Since getting my P38 the other week, I've noticed my handles are really stiff (oo-er missus, fnar!).

In all seriousness the external door handles are too stiff for the kids to pull them open (they're only little) and opening the door for them is getting a bit irritating for them and me. I've noticed the drivers one also gets stuck half way - if you follow.

I've downloaded the manual but the bit on handles doesn't indicate anything other than how to remove them.

How/where can I clean/lube them to make them work more smoothly? I'm sure soaking them in WD40 would work until the first rain shower washes the oil away...I'm after a longer lasting solution.

Cheers!

Hmmm...so looking at the stuff on locks on Range Rovers, the exterior handle itself is not at fault, it's the lock's gubbins inside the door?

Oh well, the rear door cards are obviously loose (rattle and creak) so I guess those cards were doomed to come off before long.

Grrr...another little job that's not as simple as hoped

Thanks!!

I had the same problem. Thankfully mine was the door handle.

I unscrewed them used some light grease and sprayed the lock through the aperature and all is fine and dandy now.
