How do I fit the sun-roof seal?

I have had problems with the sun roof leaking on my TD5 and have discovered a perished seal. I got a new one on ebay for £20 and I want to know how to fit it properly. I would appreciate it if you could advise me of how to do this.

Yes that's the easy part! But do I need to use any sealer or does it just sit in the channel?

Dont use any sealer it's not needed (LR didnt use sealer) or use soap as with both the seal will keep poping out of the channel, so note the way it fits into the channel and the part of the seal with the air hole in goes at the front of the sunroof. Have fun

And once you get it fitted properly make sure no one opens the sunroof for a few days at least .
This helps to 'settle' the seal into place ; and put a some silicone grease or petroleum jelly where the seal contacts the glass so that the glass doesn't pull it out of place next time its opened .
