fit fit fits fit bit??

are you looking for a straight 6 petrol engine?? i've heard they are pretty pish, you'r probably better off fitting something else. i've seen some on ebay in the past.

were you not after a diesel engine some time ago?? was it a diesel engine for on the road and a petrol for trials?

After deciphering you post, there is no way short of a miracle that you will trace the original engine from your ViP series , the best you can do if you want to return it to origiunal spec is to fit another 6cyl of the same spec.
They are not a popular engine due to needing to be well serviced and maintained. If they are they work very well, in actual fact they produce more torque at low revs than most newer engines , eg tdi etc. so are very good tow tugs. HTSH :)
In view of the above you can usually pick them up cheap, but they are expensive to rebuild . If you find a good one , first thing is check exh valve clearances, and for wear on the bronze distributor drive gear.

nice enjuns them sixes pain the arse to do the valve clearences, but just to **** ya orf a bit more i aint long gid one away, sweet runner aswell,so why did,nt ya ask earlier?
