I have looked High & Low but cant find a part number for the hose marked in the picture below..

Really appreciate you help on this one..

If its too pricey for the LR Part or equivalent then I will go for the Silicone one,
but I was wanting to stay away from that, as its an expensive route to go down..

Thanks in advance..

Is it any good for anywhere else on the Freelander??

if not strong enough on its own, maybe it could go over the other pipes if the
diameter is big enough??

Give the bling look on a budget??

No - it doesn't fit anything else - just the air intake.

It's infinitely stronger than the original.

The original is about 2cms too short IMHO that's why mine split anyway.

SV.

Totally agree with Singvogel here.

I used this,

70mm 2 3/4" BLUE Silicone Ducting Flexible Induction Air Intake Pipe Hose 0.5M | eBay

as he recommended no problems with it and theres enough left to replace again if its ever necessary.
Landrover part was about £40.00 at the time I did mine.

Don't get me wrong mate I do like the silicone look, but I have just replaced 2 pipes before December, so would be extra expense I could do without at the moment, just paid £445 for a new alternator and belts to be fitted..

Maybe when the Lotto is nice to me..

I think this is the way to go for ££ savings at the moment,

I was trying to ascertain if I could put this pipe over the other ones that
people change to give the same cosmetic look as Ian has on his...

Hence the question what is the diameter of the other hoses,,

Hello again . sizes are inner bores measured across the hose , egr 55mm , intercooler/turbo 50mm , airintake as mentioned 70mm , could not find my old one to measure . add 5mm on the above for the outer measurment :)

Well guys, I cant afford to get the full set at the moment so I have gone for the worst one I have at present,:(
Td4 Air Intake Hose, that cloth whatever it is thing,
I am sure it is collapsing when driving, allowing a squeaking noise come from it, or just sucking air through it as it is so porous,
so I am starting here, then will change the others as and when I get the money, or they are needed..

Already purchased a full set of T Bar clamps;:D
68-73mm_zpsf234093f.gif

2x 63-68mm (EGR)
2x 68-73mm (Inter-cooler)
2x 79-85mm (Air Intake)

I am hoping they will fit the hoses I will be getting??
Will make up my mind about the 4th hose when I get that far..
Inter-cooler to Turbo hose and another 2x 63-68mm T Bar Clamps..

Will post again when I have fitted it..;)

Air intake was my first replacement , the old one looked like an old hoover bag , the intercooler hose size is 55mm , so your clamps need to be smaller :)

The actual advert states in full;

63-68 FITS 57mm
68-73 FITS 60mm
79-85 FITS 70mm

You stated earlier in this thread (above) that the hoses were measured on the inside and to add 5mm to the given dimensions..

Intercooler/turbo 50mm = 55mm
(63-68 FITS 57mm) Should tighten up enough..:)
egr 55mm = 60mm
(68-73 FITS 60mm) Should tighten up perfectly..:D
airintake 70mm = 75mm
(79-85 FITS 70mm) Might be a bit on the tight side, but might squeeze it on..

Worst case is I will use the old Jubilee clip until I get the right size..:(

I am with you now ;)

As promised the hose turned up today and I have checked that the larger T Bar clamps for the airintake 70mm = 75mm fit...and they are great perfect in fact, so when the weekend gets here I will fit it and take pics..

(79-85 FITS 70mm) Might be a bit on the tight side, No its a perfect fit..

Well as said the first one has been purchased and now fitted,,
