Can any one tell me the internal dia of the V8 Rad hoses as they meet the
Radiator? I suspect 38 mm but confirmation would be peachy.

I suspect bearing in mind the antiquity of Land Rovers they are unlikely to be
metric, imperial at least but more likely cubits and leagues.

Lee,

I happen to have a radiator from a 1988 RRC 3.5 Efi sitting in my
carport. I will, if it is of any use, measure the diameters of the
pipes on that.

Back from carport:

Both pipes on the rad are as near as makes no odds 35 mm in diameter but
with a flare to 38 mm diameter that the hose must slip over. Does that
make sense?

Hi Lee,

Do you want it to adorn your carport or whatever? It's only slightly
faulty - top plate has come unsoldered at the n/s end? My wretched
'cleaning operatives' won't take it with ordinary household junk and the
erratic 'bulky refuse collection' won't take car parts. But, if I
wanted to queue for an hour on Saturday I could take it to the tip that
both collections empty their loads at, now where's the sense in that?
Should I trundle down to the tip at 13 mpg with one duff rad on board or
should a huge refuse truck stuffed to the gills take it? Obviously it
makes sooo much more sense for me to take it - and they wonder why fly
tipping is increasing round here.
