Home made cubby box

all, i have made my own cubby box, looking for ideas of what to use to cover it ?

Crisp packets....... easy to stick on, folds easily around tricky corners and will blend nicely with the rest of the interior.

van carpet or vinyl is cheap

do i eat the crisps before i stick them on or leave them in there as to snack when on a long drive ?

I thought they came empty, breed under the seats or something?

Just search for acoustic carpet on eBay. That should work.

Mine has a thin vinyl covering that's just folded over the edges and stapled. You could always cover it in wood stain and tell everyone it came out of an old Jag

What about some Alcantara or equivalent suede covering, just to add that bit of luxury?

loads are made like that and sold. they just finish with some foam and whatever cover to finish

Get some wadding from a furniture shop then cover that with vinyl, or whatever your seats are covered in. I seem to remember you can buy cup holder inserts for the front.

Looks well made [emoji106] try old leather from a settee cost nowt and u get big bits from the back ps don't use the one in YOURE house the wife won't be happy lol [emoji1][emoji1][emoji1][emoji15]

Cover it in food and drink stains. That's what mine is covered in.

Been a joiner for 50 years .Make up your own mind .

By the way was only jumping on the bandwagon to have a laugh (crisp packets etc) lighten up.

I was gonna say a sheet! ( sorry, its the chippy coming out of me )

Definitely use padding/wadding then wrap in whatever. Denim would look interesting, but best really to match your seats if you can.
