Hi Guys,

I'm looking at taking a family holiday green laning with my brothers and nephew and we were thinking of taking in North Yorkshire.

We are from the south so don't have any knowledge of the area. Before buying an Explorer map can someone please point out some MUST do lanes for us. any help would be appreciated.

Tx

Hi Joe Disco

We are looking at the end of August. I have some work to do to the Green Hornet before her MOT and then that also gives me time to save for a few things like tyres lol :)

Normally my brother and I go into Europe on the bikes but we are all a little sknit this year and as he has never really been off road other than a day out with me we thought we would throw the sleeping bags in the cars and go out for a few days.

My bro has a frontera and my nephew a Fourtrak. We thought north Yorks and probably into south scotland / borders maybe.

Can you help by suggesting some good routes? I heard you could do the pennines too.

Tx

theres some good routes here in north yorkshire i might come along for a day with you if you want im sure a few other people will aswell

I am going to get a hold of a couple of explorer maps and then I can start planning a route. When it gets nearer the time I will put a post on here and anyone is more than welcome to meet up and come along and even camp with us.

In the meantime if anyone wants to know about some great leanes here in Hampshire/Surrey borders then just give me a shout and I would be happy to help.

Tx
