Hi, I'm new to this site, but have heard good things about it. I have Disco 2004, 2.5. At stand still, I'm unable to hold rev's on 1.5, it will either go above or below this. I hear this is normal, anyone know if this is ok? Also when running at 50mph the engine is hesitating and jumping. Can anyone help please?:(

I should have mentioned that my disco is diesel and automatic. I have also found that there is a problem with the rev's between 1.5 to 2 at any speed Does anyone know if the accelerator cable is just a cable or is there some electronic device on it?

Hi

I would be worth checking if you have oil at the red plug of your ECU. If so, clean out with brake cleaner. You will need to put a new injector harness in then and continue to clean the red plug for a time to get rid of the legacy oil. Do a search on this. It is the most common TD5 issue and a good starting point.

Yes it could be that too. If you get it checked on diagnostics, throttle issues can show up as 'Driver Demand' faults.
