Hi guys, regarding the ongoing saga with my 02 D2 auto. I put in a new wastegate modulator some time ago after my friend tried his in mine and it worked properly again :), thing is he had a Nanocom which I presume (?) reset the ECU. Once I got mine from Land Rover, I took the old one out stuck in the new one and no difference. I assumed it was buggered but maybe it just needs to be reset again....could this a possibility maybe?

You can't really 'reset' an ECU - you can read and clear fault codes.

But most things I've encountered seem to be logged but that's it - once normal functioning resumes, the fault code stays logged but doesn't influence function.

Perhaps this one is different, dunno....

Oh dear, that's not quite what I wanted to hear. The problem is that the ECU seems to stop the turbo kicking in at around (2.5 - 3k), he read on his nanocom that there was a problem somewhere there. He had had a problem with his and replaced the wastegate hence we tried his in my Disco and it was fine, no faults on the Nanocom, drove it round for ages. Problem solved so I thought, I got one from Land Rover put it in and no difference at all so either it's duff or I need to clear an error message maybe. Truth is I'm stumped!
