So my old 110 got smashed into by some idiot getting away from another car he just crashed into.

I've attached pics of the damage.
Not really sure how it all goes together back there.
It's a tithonus with a fiberglass top.

Do I need to just drill out the rivets holding the tub edge cap on and the back panel will come off with the door off?
Thinking I might be able to straighten the rear quarter panel.
Is the top hiding any fixings?

Doesn't need to look pretty just straight, army has put a fair bit of filler on it.

Top capping probally hiding a spot weld or pop rivit.
Get thin cutting disk & cut the worse out.
Get some jogglers & some Ali and fill the holes.will look nice with some shiny rivits in it.
You can replace the capping with the lights on.

Brilliant idea , that won't be too difficult

Looks like your rear crossmember is a bit out as well, I have used a high lift jack against the tyre to bend one back.

Yeah its bent the edge of the crossmember back,I should be able to pull that back ok.
Glad I didn't put the bumperettes back on, chassis would have taken all the force then.

+1. Ali stretches rather easily, so replacing the worst is deffo what I would be doing. IIRC Brittanica resto's on the tube did a vid fixing a similar area - maybe even the same corner o_O ....

Oh, and regarding the hit and run "driver" -:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Yeah replacing bits definitely seems best,
Will Just cost me abit of ally and a corner capping,no point bothering my insurance.

The other car he hit told me it was 2 young lads, apparently they were spotted standing around it in the local KFC laughing, went up there but they were gone, probably for the Best tbh, I really wasn't in a pleasent mood.

The car took it well I think so I'm not too bothered, mainly there was a load of children outside playing along with it being school time, could've easily killed someone.

Police didn't want to know.
