Hissing Sound

Dear,

I noticed a hissing sound comes from my gas/fuel cap filler when open it. It sounds a fully pressurized system or tank . So is this normal since my Jag doesn’t make this . Thank u.

More likely a partial vacuum in the tank cos your breathers a bit iffy.

It does build a partial vacuum, it's normal. Petrol do this, but not the diesels. Only the petrol freelanders do this, as they sealed tank system, the vapours being vented to the intake manifold to be burnt. Because the tank is vented to the intake manifold, it does build a vacuum, which is depleted when the cap is removed.
