Well over last 2 days have noticed front passenger side car occasionally dips down, and now after switch off can hear a hissing coming from the same side , even if car is on high settingor motorway etc next day car is down to entry mode etc, after looking through the threads i think it must be a leaking air bag ? So little bit of advice would be good , one. is this the right diagnosis ? 2. Is it worth getting a front set of new Dunlop bags and clips ? And replacing both sides at same time ? 3. Whats the average price to have these replaced in uk ? And finally ? Anyone in the midlands Coventry , that could do this ?

Thanks as always

Mark

Either the airbag is leaking (most likely) or the pipe where it enters the airbag.
You should always replace the pair on the same axle as a minimum, better to replace all 4 as they are likely to all be at the end of their life.
Easy Job, my guide is in the "How To" section.
Oh, and your compressor is probably on it's last legs as it's been worked to death feeding the leak.

Sounds a good diagnosis although you might want to check the pipe to and the connection into the bag just to eliminate that.

Like anything on an axle it's always better to replace both sides at the same time.

No idea how much a garage would charge. It's such a simple job that I'd be embarrassed asking someone else to do it.

You could ask Markcb73, he could do it in an hour or so ;)

Thanks for the advice DATATEK and dogs body, just ordered new air bags for front , and got a new compressor , though might as well, it will only go in few months otherwise lol, still to find someone to do, will have to live with embarrassment :-(

You must be rich.

If you can return the compressor. You can get a compressor refurb kit for about £20. An hour of your time will have it good as new.

Not rich lol, just gone down used , second hand parts etc and usually rubbish last legs etc, so far owned the RR for a year and all ok , only do couple thousand miles year so impressed so far, have a 96 jag as well and seems about same for prices so far ? And the RR just passed mot no advisorys , seems like the p38 gets some bad press like old jags but seem ok to me
