A few pictures of my 2001 Freelander TD4 commercial. Front spots are believed to be factory fitment, as it has the correct switch to turn them on or off. Roof spots are Cebie Oscar, which my dad had back when he was rallying, so older than me! aftermarket stereo system, CB, auxiliary batteries & 2500w/240v inverter & custom LED lightbar (flashing amber) to rear. Running on General Grabber AT tyres.

Roof spots fitted

CB fitted, doesn't actually obscure rear view mirror & mic cable is unobtrusive too. Power lead has been rerouted as this was just to check the installation.

Aerial mount had to be earthed, along with spotlights, routed to body fixing bolt under plastic capping at front of roof bar. Coax & spot life wires routed through removable hard top & no leaks evident.

In my woods

My 1st car after passing my driving test, spent my time while learning to drive to get it back into a roadworthy condition, the work also went towards my NVQ in motor vehicles.

Looks nice mate.
Is that a Cobra 29 LX? I was hoping to get one of these to replace the Midland radio I've just blown up. How does it perform?

Cheers mate.

Yes it is. I find it pretty good, not many people on air in my area, but quite easily get 7+ miles. Easy to set up, built in SWR meter means no need for patch lead & external meter, so install & just adjust aerial. I was more used to the old rigs, my preference was the Uniden board, but this is just as good, only time will tell if it lasts as long as my little Uniden 100.
