Hi guys.... I dont post very often, mainly due to now living abroad, like most Freelander owners I have had my niggles and problems.

However keep the faith.

Over the last 12 months my 2001 TD4 with 110k on the clock has travelled 4 times to Bulgaria and back, visited Russia and more.

Problems..... new turbo hoses and 1 new battery. Peanuts!

However now in Bulgaria the temperature has been well below -30, 12 inches of frozen snow, drifts you could easily get lost in etc.... get the picture?

What has excelled, the Freelander!

My nearest shop.... 7 miles, no problem.
Nearest place to eat..... 8 miles, I go there every other day, just to pee people off!

I sleep well knowing I have my Freelander, locals get to the shop because of the Freelander.

Sometimes even though it might be minus 10 I just go for a drive...... cos I can!

So guys, despite the odd niggle......... we have a great vehicle.:)

N affor dem tratter boys start, I have had more tractors than most. Drove from NE england to SouthAfrica in a 110, rebuilt 109 series3 from chassis up. Never again.

Proud of my Freelander, happy to drive it 13 hours a day, autobahn to dirt track

Smile guys...... we have a winner

Safe travels, F

Its good to hear that you are happy with your Hippo, an you are right, it is an excellent machine, when it works. I am very happy with mine, but I've never owned a car that has gone wrong so many times. Still, I put it right and off we go again. :D

ive had to rely on it most.... ie now. It has been faultless.
7 months keeping my 110 alive againstthe hippo...... no contest.
