Hinged Radius arms

I've just been browsing the net for some Radius arms for my landrover and came across this; http://www.d-90.com/prod/hinge.html
looks like a pair of standard radius arms cut and modded, looks simple enough!

what stops the axle from turning on its own accord? Surely its the radius arms that make the wheels rotate, rather than the axle?

Think about what happens when you brake down hill with the arms in 'hinged' mode.

@MHM. You only do one arm on one side.

I would be a bit concerned if they only conducted tests on one day and only in that environment too.

To be fair it is fairly 'old news' and has been superseded (in the US at least) by the use of 3/4 link suspension geometry and rose/johnny joints.

We have a different environment over here, more mud less dry rock, and so different solutions are needed.
