Hi all. I have a p38 diesel manual.
I have a couple of questions for help please.

First.... the age old air suspension gag
Sometimes it'll pump up normally and everything is fine.
Other times, it'll pump and pump to no avail whilst giving a ride such as a bouncy castle does to my son, until such time as I go over a decent sized speed hump, and then it obviously realises it has actually got to correct height, and then the lights stops flashing and ride is nice and comfy.
What do we reckon. A sensor on one of the air bags is sticky ?? Does it have any ??? If so, how do i tell which one ??

Second...
For reasons i could go into, the hi lo ratio decided to go a bit odd, and resulted in a burnt out module/ecu and lots of beeps and annoying messages such as "slow down" and "transfer neutral".
I can power the motor backwards and forwards with a couple of lengths of wire and a battery, so would guess it's fine, and have manually put it into high ratio and disconnected the motor until repair.
I need a little advice on two things however.
1 - Does anyone know of a reputable ecu repair place in the uk who would repair this module (unless we know of a good source for a 2nd hand one bearing in mind it's a manual derv)
2 - When I replace the ecu, is there any set patten of replacement and connectivity, eg: do I have to set it to high, and then the motor to high and then connect the motor, or will it all sort itself out whatever state every component is set to currently.
The last thing i want to do is spend out on a new module, fit it, and then it gets itself all burnt out again cos the motor is set to high and the ecu to low etc.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks........
