Evening Folks ,

With a whole day of rain I decided to venture out in the Motor. Drove approx 2 miles and the HD light came on the dash it was a solid orange light just like it is before you turn the Vehicle over to start.

Now I thought I may have knocked the button when I changed gear but nope that was not the case. I pulled over turned the vehicle off and on again & no light came back on 😀.

Now for next time I would like to know if anyone has experienced this and what can be done to resolve this .

My light came on when my front pads got low....not ruined just low.
Used to go off when ignition went off then back.on when I braked heavy or went off road using breaks more.

New pads and 2 weeks on no light except when HD in use.

Hope this helps.

These came from a doc that I saw on here somewhere in the past year.
"ABS System Failure Warning Lights"
the bit relating to HDC are as follows:
HDC Fault [amber warning light on & not flashing]
could be:
ABS & EBD failure
or ABS ECU not connected
or Diagnostic Mode
or HDC Failure only

Flashing at 2Hz [if activated by HDC] = brakes overheated
