Greetings from Down Under. I'm looking at buying an early 2002 TD4. Full service history but 275k km on the clock. Not overly high for 10 years in Australia, given where it lived, but the price is less than 50% of what Glass's guide says it should be for a 180k model. I know the engine will happily do 300k +, but is there anything else I should look out for?

look at the drivetrain for wear, has the VCU ever been replaced if so when, how are the tyres worn on the rear are they smooth (good) wavey or saw-toothed (bad).
does it start first time from cold, does it change smoothly through all the gears, does it lose coolant, does it click when turning on full lock, do all the electrics work, has the abs light been removed or coloured out with a black marker to hide a fault, you know the usual stuff
