Want to fit a high level rear brake light to my 1995 300TDI Disco, the model must be just before they were standard, anyone fitted one ?
any problems ?, mine is the model with brake lights in the bumper and side tail lights

just fitted one to mine, but not an LR one, the LR one will not fit as you don't have the screen with the mounting posts to fit the lamp on which were fitted to the 98 model of D1.
My lamp came from ebay for a fiver, it's off a Volvo V70 estate so has the right/same angle of class as the disco.

It has clear LED's which turn red, the plastic housing neaded a bit of trimming and two alloy L brackets making which are fitted to the lamp with small nut& bolts and then double sided taped to the top of the door.
I cut a Fablon mask for outside the screen not required but I did it..

Wire was concealed within the window rubber then through the HRW grommet and the flexi door hose into the rear light void a connected to the stoplamp circuit and ground...job done.

i got a standard one from halfrauds £20 though , fitted it by bonding to glass , pushed wiring behind window seal and into inside of door through the grommet where the heated screen wires come out , wiring inside door already there on my 1994 to connect to.
