Hello all
sorry to go over old ground.....but i'm confused!! I bought another indicator stalk, thinking mine was faulty, as the first position didn't flash the main beam, as the handbook (and i expected) said it should. It flashes on full pullback with the headlights off, but when they are on, it switches the main beam on, instead of flashing them. Nothing happens at all, on the first pressure point, when pulled. I then read the posts and it seems the norm, but i don't understand why it has that position on the stalk and it also says it should in the handbook. Couldn't find anything too much about it on "Rave" and i'm not too good with schematics for the wiring. Anyway, i have an 850 T5 volvo, with EXACTLY the same flash/main beam switch set-up on the indicator. However,it will flash the headlights/main beam when you pull it to the first pressure point on the stalk, regardless whether the headlights are on or not and it will still switch them when you pull it all the way, with the headlights on. Is there anyway of fixing this or did i just happen to buy a faulty indicator stalk? nothing major, just a niggle.
thanks Kev
