Goole
i live no Goole in East Yorkshire. I’ve had a good few land rovers over the years. On my first Discovery, it’s a 2 TD5 Auto. Had it 2 years but gust started doing a few bits. It broke the power steering pipes last Sept so it was stood until Xmas when I started to replace said pipes.
Everything was a bugger all bolts and screws ceased or sheered off. Anyway I ended up replacing the pipes aircon radiator and fan. Front springs and shocker bushes. Discs and pads, then found a hole in chassis at the back. So towbar and fuel tank off rear 1/4 chassis fitted along with a home made front of tank x member, new discs and pads. Then scrub down, paint and waxoil rear end. 17 full days work in all. Oh I fitted new stainless mud flap brackets too.
Took it for a well deserved wash, rear sunroof ****ed water in and stopped working so I’m guessing it’s my next job. Also needs remainder of air suspension removing as only the spring have been fitted. I’ll have to have a look on hers about those projects.

Cheers guys looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Thank you and good morning and yes it was a bit of a read but it was an epic fix for me as I like the Disco so much.
Lots to do and many more posts I would suspect.

Cheers

Hi I still have the centre section to clean and paint but its a ramp job next time.
1980 I had had a series 1. was battered but fun.
1993 I bought and rebuilt a s3 109 21\4 petrol. I put a Peugeot 2.5 in that.
1994 1989 4ltr range rover vouge. expensive as it was always breaking down.
1997 1990 110 2.5 petrol ex waterboard. great bus that was kept it 3 years.
2008 1988 s 3 rebuilt on galv chassis 21\4 petrol.
2009 1969 s 2 rebuilt that on a galv chassis 2/1\4 diesel sold that to a friend in 2011. (Too cheap)
2015 Brand new TDCI XS 90 defender in gunmetal and black. sold in 2017. Too small.
2017 2001 TD5 Disco 2. which I have now. lots of work to do as I'm keeping this one.

Not many but enough. lol
