Hi!

Just moved over to the disco life , had a freelander for the last 4 years

This is what I picked up today!

Hope I can use the useful information on this forum to help make my disco ownership less stressful!

Won't be doing too many mods to her,
Mainly roof rails
Internal power sockets and possibly some aux lighting !

Anything I should do first thing ?

Hi, check for oil in the engine ECU red plug(disconnect battery first) and find somebody with tester to see if there are any faults logged in the various ECUs and erase them

Hi and welcome nice looking motor had mine 9 years and been very happy with it after you have got all the basics right it is worth thinking about having it chipped had mine done last week after thinking about it for 2 years wish I had had it done a long time ago as it makes it a lot nicer to drive

As Sierrafery says investigate & clear any fault codes (familiarise yourself with the 3 amigos!). Jack the car up and check for any play in the wheel bearings - there shouldn't be any & eventually that might trigger the 3 amigos (ABS TC & HDC yellow lights).
