Hi, new to site and to owning a Freelander.

I understand that petroleum Freelanders are cheap but I wouldn't wish a freelander on my worst enemy. I should know. I've got one. A Td4 admittidly but still unreliable bags of ****e! I've virtually rebuilt ours and it's not even done 100k! My old Disco had 186k on the clock and ran better than my brand new company car. I would honestly suggest selling the k series and going for a 200/300 tdi disco. The running costs will be similar and you'll have a vehicle that is fit for purpose.
 
Morning folks, whats the benefits/ draw backs to removing the prop shafts and reducibg the freelander down to 2 wheel drive. I dont intend in off road driving but I do pull a caravan.
 
Don't mind Bob, he's our pet troll. We let him out occasionally to answer the call of nature.

I believe the 2wd drive thing is common and has been covered many times. The search function works at all times of the day you know ;)
 
Hi Folks, where can i pick up a tempreture guage for a 1.8 petrol freelander on a W plate.

Well folks, thanks to my bro the mechanic in the family, with very little cost attached my motor is running perfectly. Now looking forward to many happy days in my freelander. ;)

Picked up a tow bar today at a local breakers, saw a wheel cover, asked how much, wait for it.........................he only wante £20. for a spare wheel cover that is coming off a car that is being scrapped. Tell you what easy money or what. I know us Jocks have a rep for being tight but cmon thats day light robbery.

This morning my TC and ABS lights came on on the dashboard, its a 1.8 petrol freelander, any ideas what to check. :)
