Hi new here

Hi new here I have a 06 freelander
Which was running just fine then the other day driving alone about 45 there was a high pitch squealing for a few sec then that stopped and it started smoking white smoke
There was a knocking noise also pulled over switched it off It restarted and I limped 1 mile home switched it off now it will not turn over seems locked up any help would be much appreciated thanks
