We purchased our last Discovery in 2000 - a Series 2 v8 HSE. It now requires a bit of TLC as we have no garage and things are going sour. There was a leak in the roof (front nearside) - now repaired - rear sunroof motor not working - now replaced - ACE damaged by tyre repair facility 3yrs ago (est cost of repair £3K - system now de-activated and reservoir drained - tailgate bottom edge rotten - new (reconditioned) tailgate fitted and re-sprayed. Now, water evident in both front foot wells. Thinking of removing both front & rear carpets to access damage, but how is water getting in? Anyone pls - and how do you remove the veneered cover on the centre console?
