Hi I'm a newbie

Hi guys I'm new to these forums but thought I'd give it a go, I currently drive a freelander but thinking of getting my own landy and looking at a discovery m reg 300tdi it's been lifted by 2ins but I'm worried about insurance cost, I've only ever been a named driver on my dad's policy, held a full licence since aug 2013 so 0 ncb, would you recommend a discovery or stick with a freelander 😆😆😆

Welcome to the madhouse. Stick with your gaylander for now no nc and mods don't go to well with insurance companies

Consider an older Defender or S3. Cheaper on insurance?

I'd love a defender but they are out of my price range :'( I have noticed that the 1994 is £200 cheaper than a 1997, insurance confuses me also I'm putting the correct reg in but it's coming back as a v8i but it's a 2.5

No I just asked the owner and apparently I have to enter it in manually, looks like I'm sticking with the gaylander for a while, I love the discovery had my 1st one 10 years ago sadly she was put to rest :'(
