Hi there,

Long time lurker 1st time poster.

I have had my series for around 4 years now, 2 on the road 2 off, It is a 1979 109 2.25 petrol. after it running rough for a few months i decided to take the engine apart revealing 5 cracked valves, after having the head reconned and skimmed to give 9:1 c/r it is now running but not driving due to clutch issues. I am looking forward to having it on the road this year and making some improvement based on advice on this forum.

Thanks for reading and i look forward to reading on posting around here.

Welcome.

Engine work looks good.
Bodywork is always an optional extra, beside more blingy more likely get nicked it don’t have to look good to go good:)

I have a chihuahua for security so no worries on that front. :) Hears a few pics of the head before recon and 2 of an old project.

The 109 in the series 2 and 3 is my favourite..

Very smart, and good job on the engine..

The 2 1/4 is a nice sweet motor when tuned and built right..

Get on over to the Project section and post ya adventures ;)
